Kick off the holiday season with the Arkansas Arts Center at ARTament Bash, a holiday shopping extravaganza, on Sunday, November 9, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Arkansas Arts Center Atrium. ARTament Bash offers a wide array of unique gifts for under $50 including Red Apple Inn Toffee, handcrafted glass tree ornaments, artist-designed jewelry, fun children’s gifts and more. Andy Warhol merchandise will also be for sale. Shoppers can browse unique holiday gift items, original works by local and national artists, holiday décor and ARTrageous ornaments while enjoying holiday music and refreshments. As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
