The Arkansas Arts Center will host its annual Museum School Sale on Saturday, November 22, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A wide range of work created by Arkansas Arts Center Museum School instructors and students will be for sale including pottery, paintings, photography, glass, woodwork and jewelry.  Admission is free.

“The Museum School Holiday Sale is an annual event that grows in popularity each year,” said Museum School Manager Andrea Tompkins “The Sale gives Museum School teachers and students a great opportunity to sell their original artwork and gives the public a great opportunity to add to their art collections or purchase one-of-a-kind gifts.  New items featured in the Sale this year include slumped glass pieces and low-fire earthenware.”

The Museum School provides art classes throughout the year for children and adults.  Classes include photography, jewelry, painting, drawing, fused glass, pottery, woodwork and many other subjects.

The 2008-09 Museum School season is sponsored by The Dorothea Lawrence Gilbert Fund for Art Enrichment and Outreach; Marcus Worth Logue and Richard M. Logue, M.D. Memorial Gift; Cindy and Greg Feltus; Thomas & Thomas, LLP; Trinity Foundation; and Rebsamen Fund.  The 2008-09 Season Partner is the City of North Little Rock.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
