kfoster03Perfect time for Christmas gift buying.....

Eleanor Lux and Karen Foster are hosting their 12th annual Open House Art Show and Sale, Saturday, December 6, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at 18 White Street, Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Eleanor Lux, weaver, will be showing her latest hand woven rugs, pen and ink drawings of the Yucatan, and gem stone and beaded ball necklaces.  Photos of Lux's beadwork are included in the newly released book "Masters--Beadweaving," a publication that features works by the nation's leading bead artists.  She will have the book available for viewing and purchase at the show.

Karen Foster, potter, will present a new series of smoke-fired, handmade clay spheres. Karen has turned the flat labyrinth pattern into a three dimensional design, creating a labyrinth sphere "to be held and comtemplated."  She will also show a new assortment of coffee cups.lux02

An addition to the December White Street show this year will be the introduction of the EMRIS Girls Club who will show their handmade stocking ornaments. Artist Mary Tait will open her studio, Tait Inc, 21 White Street (across from the Lux Weaving Studio) to host the show and sale by club members: Emily, Manou, Rachel, Indigo, and Shannon.  A portion of the EMRIS Girls Club sales will go to their favorite charity.

Both shows are free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.  For additional information call:  479-253-9636

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
