The 17th is a Cuttin - Up Party at the El Dorado Country Club which will include a Dancing with the Stars competition and auction of items donated by local businesses, and Mardi Gras masks made by local artists. These masks can be whatever the artists can "dream up" including a framed painting of a mask, a ceramic mask, paper mache, sculpture, feathered wall hanging mask similar to those worn at Mardi Gras. There are no color or size restrictions. We just want an item that the artist is willing to donate that would sell so we can raise money to continue our work with HIV/AIDS. Tickets will sell for $30 single or $50 a couple. We are a nonprofit that does free HIV testing, education programs for adults and children, and direct services to those living with the disease.

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
