If you are interested or know of anyone else who might be interested…we have chili mugs in need of an artist’s touch at the Painted Pig. We will auction your mug at the Chili with a Kick, charity kickball tournament and chili cook-off kick-off party (all proceeds benefit Youth Home) on Thursday, February 26th at Cornerstone in North Little Rock’s Historic Argenta district.
The only cost to you is your time!! All you have to do is drop by the Painted Pig anytime between 10am – 6pm. Just tell them you want to do a mug for the chili cook-off and they will get you started. It doesn’t take long and you don’t have to be a professional artist to participate. www.paintedpigstudio.com 5622 R St Little Rock, AR 72207 (501) 280-0553 Please let me know if you have any questions. The Chili with a Kick, charity and kickball tournament and chili cook-off is a national adult kickball tournament and family event. The Little Rock Kickball Association (LRKA) is one of the largest independent adult kickball leagues in the country and has become an epicenter for the growth and development of kickball nation-wide. This two-day national tournament will attract kickball teams from around the region and will offer a chili cook-off competition for the local community. The fun starts Thursday night February 26th with a kick-off Party at Corner Stone in the historic North Little Rock Argenta District where tournament guests and friends of kickball will enjoy door prizes, auction items, local art, live music, food and fun. A limited number of hand painted chili mugs will be on display and available for purchase. The next two days, Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st features the regional invitational charity kickball tournament and Chili Cook-Off. The event will be heavily publicized in the central Arkansas area. The Big Red Ball Charitable Foundation is a non-profit 501 c (3) and all proceeds from this event will benefit Youth Home, Inc, a therapeutic treatment facility and family therapy clinic where teens and families find hope and healing. www.youthhome.org Thank you!! I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
