Dear Artist:

We would like to invite you to participate in our annual auction

Splatters: Another Fine Mess!,

benefiting Centers for Youth and Families.  The auction

will take place on Sunday,

October 11, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

The attached brochure gives specific information on submitting

your art, deadlines and details.

When you make your donation, please include the Artist’s Submission

Form, which is also attached.

Don’t forget Splatters Platters!  These non-juried pieces of art are

popular auction items.

Beginning July 1st, stop by Firefly Studio at 10700 Rodney Parham

and either paint your

piece there, or take it home to create your masterpiece.

All platters need to be returned to

The Centers Foundation Office no later than September 1st.

We are confident it will be your desire to participate in this

amazing event since our mission

of providing specialized prevention, intervention and treatment

services to over 8,000 children

and families each year is so profound.

If you have any questions about Splatters or Splatters Platters,

please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you so much for considering an art donation to The Centers.

Sincerely

Alese Stroud

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
