CanvasJunkie member Kitten61 sent me this.  She is in charge of the silent auction after the walk and would like to request that artists everywhere donate something to this great cause.  Anyone interested in donating contact Kitten61, she will arrange to pick items up or you may drop them off at the Foundation.  Deadline for art donations is May 22, 2009.  Be sure to include business cards, bio and or other info on yourself so people will have a contact for the donating artists.

WHAT: The Arkansas AIDS Foundation (AAF) to host their 7th Annual AIDS Walk. 
WHEN:  June 13, 2009 10:00 a.m.
Registration: 8:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. 

WHERE: Clinton Presidential Library & Museum 
1200 President Clinton Avenue 
Little Rock, AR 

The event will be a fun family activity. The walk is less than two miles, which is short enough for kids to participate.

After the walk, there will be a health fair with free HIV testing, live entertainment, free food, and a silent auction, which will include many art works by Kitten61 and other artists. All participants will receive a free t-shirt. There will be a balloon release in memory of loved ones lost to AIDS or in the hope for a cure.

The purpose of the AIDS Walk is to bring awareness and to educate the citizens in Arkansas and surrounding states about the importance of HIV/AIDS, and about leading healthier lives via prevention programs and lifestyle changes.

The entry fee for the walk is $20. The proceeds will be used to support client services at the Arkansas AIDS Foundation.

You can sponsor a team, make a monetary donation,Make a donation of art for the silent auction, volunteer at the event or just join us to recognize the courage and celebrate the lives of so many people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
