The Arkansas Community Arts Cooperative (ACAC) is having a 2-day Summer Art Show and Sale. The show will open on Saturday, June 27 and remain open the following day, June 28. We are doing a recession-style art show with all pieces under $200. There is a 5-piece maximum allowed for each artist. All 2-D and 3-D work is welcome--only submit work that has never been shown at an ACAC show and sale. The commission split is 70/30—70% goes to the artist. There is an artist entry fee of $10, if you are already an ACAC member. It’s $20, if you’re not a member—this fee can be applied to membership renewal or becoming a new member. The 30% commission and entry fees go straight to the organization to help pay bills and keep the space open. Space is limited, so contact us immediately if you want to participate. Due to the quick nature of this show, the deadline is Wednesday, June 17. Drop-off dates are Saturday, June 20, from 12-4 pm and Monday, June 22, from 5-8pm. We have changed the process of receiving work—we will be emailing all paperwork to the artist ahead of time. All work must be labeled on the back with the artists’ name and the name of the piece or it will not be shown. The ACAC space is located at 900 S. Rodney Parham Rd. (the old Gallery B), a little east of Kanis Park. To be in the show, email Sharea Wheeler at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 501-650-6883. Thanks and we look forward to your participation!

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
