The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is considering a new project to promote Arkansas products and/or services such as artwork, crafts, food items or mixes and candles. The Arkansas Alley will be open on Farmer’s Market days of Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.–noon in the Count Pulaski Plaza outside the Arkansas Studies Institute at 401 President Clinton Avenue, on the Main Library campus. Vendors and their items or exhibits must be pre-approved and scheduled for participation in Arkansas Alley. Participation is by invitation only and requires check in and check out on the day of the exhibit. CALS will provide each vendor with a shaded space, one 6 ft. table and two chairs free of charge. Vendors are wholly responsible for setting up their booths, including retrieving equipment supplied by CALS and their own supplies, returning and properly storing the CALS equipment at the end of the session and any licenses or taxes required for sale of products. The program seeks to feature products and services from vendors across the state. I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
