An overflow crowd attended the awards ceremony where guests enjoyed great desserts and punch, along with an amazing art exhibit and video excerpts from the performing arts auditions. One hundred and ninety-five seniors and one hundred and seven juniors from fifty-five high schools across Arkansas entered this year's competition. Visual Arts Top Fifteen Winners 2010 Comments (1)

The Ninth Annual THEA Awards were held on February 7 at the THEA Foundation Center for the Arts. Twenty scholarships totaling $50,000 were awarded to Arkansas high school seniors from all corners of the state.

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
