masksmakingcraftsactivitiesforkids_html_161baf37A Summer Art Camp led by Art Specialist Mona Brossett will be held at the KETZ GALLERY on June 29-July 1, 2010.

Brosset, who has many years of experience in art education for children, brings a youthful enthusiasm for exploring the art world.  "Art can help children in many areas of their lives including problem solving," she said. "This is just one way to get kids excited about the art world and their own creativity."  Brossett will be assisted by Terry Traylor-Boykin.

Class size is limited to allow individual instruction in a gallery environment. The camp will feature printmaking and mosaic for 7-9 year olds in a morning session, and  10-12 year-olds in the afternoon. Students will learn the arts of making prints and working with tile.

They will have the option of taking home their projects or displaying them at the Gallery. Cost is $95 and $15 materials fee. Registration can be made by calling 529-6330 or coming by KETZ GALLERY at 705 Main Street in historic Argenta, North Little Rock.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
