harmony_copyOver 50 New Drawings and Paintings from the first year in Graduate School ranging from the very small (4x6 inches) to the very large (5x7 feet). During his first year at the New York Studio School studying under Dean Graham Nickson Shannon has been playing with the potential for powerful color relationships through instense abstract color arrangements and developing an understanding of the inherent abstract structure of all painting. The result is a body of work that mixes the observed and the conceived to create abstract interpretations of perceptual space. New Location at 806 W. Markham (side entrance) right next to the old Art Scene Gallery at 110 N. State St.

Sunday June 27th from 4-8 pm

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
