enjoy-visitand-stay-if-wish--large-msg-125605870354This year for Mills Pond House Gallery’s upcoming Halloween season, we are hosting dramatic Halloween performances within the gallery for the month of October. The house will be decorated with items referencing the time the Mills Pond House was built, and actors will tell stories to create an eerie, unsettling experience for guests.
To go along with these performances, we are currently seeking artwork to hang within the gallery among the props and decorations. For this year’s Halloween inspired exhibition, we are seeking works ranging from the macabre to the whimsical. We are primarily interested in works that portray frightening subject matters cast in a philosophic, romantic or humorous light.

Below please find all dates and deadlines: Deadline to enter: Friday,
September 10
Notification of accepted work: Friday, September 17
Work to arrive at gallery: Sat, Sept. 25 – Thurs, Sept 30.
Exhibition Dates: Friday, October 8 – Saturday, October 31, 2010.

There is no fee to enter this exhibition, but all entrants must submit a completed entry form and jpegs for up to 3 pieces by the above deadline.
How To Enter: The Entry Form may be downloaded at www.stacarts.org/exhibits. If you have a problem with the word form, please download the pdf copy, complete the form by hand and submit with your entry CD. Be sure to print clearly and include a valid email address for communication. CD must be labeled with artist name. Please title your jpegs consistent with your entry form titles. Please do not use all caps. Your gallery label and lists will print from your entry form.**Caution: Entry will not be processed if instructions are not followed. CDs will only be returned if properly posted SASE is enclosed with your entry. You must sign the entry form. I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
