splatters_logo_24Dear Artist:

The 10th annual Splatters, a silent and live auction featuring local art, will be held on Sunday, October 10th.   Our signature fundraiser is attended by over 450 guests and supports programs and services that reach over 8,000 children across Arkansas. We need your help!  Please consider helping the children served by Centers for Youth & Families by: ART DONATION: Contribute a piece of art for our auction.

We will have a jury select our Top 10 pieces f you would like to participate in the jury.  You can also donate a non-juried piece.  All medium are welcome!

PLATTER PAINTING: Paint a platter that will be auctioned at Splatters.  You can paint at Firefly Studios anytime before September 14th OR join us on Sunday, August 29th from 5-7pm for an Artist Platter Painting Party at the Bess Chisum Stephens Community Center (1200 S. Cleveland.)

There is no charge to participate- we appreciate you sharing your time and talent.  Let us know if you can attend, so we  have enough platters for everyone. Attached is a brochure indicating donation benefits and deadlines.  Also attached is an auction donation form.  Please fill out and return by email, fax or mail indicating your desire to participate. Thank you for considering assisting The Centers with our mission to build healthy children, families and communities!

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
