(LITTLE ROCK, AR) – The Fine Arts Club of Arkansas will present The Art of Entertaining, a fundraiser featuring designer and lifestyle expert Eddie Ross on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion. In his presentation, Ross will prepare for the holiday season with decorating and entertaining tips and trends. As former Associate Decorating Editor of House Beautiful and former Senior Style Editor of Martha Stewart Living, Ross inspired readers with clever ways of integrating vintage furniture and objects into clean, classic design. A native of Greenwich, Connecticut and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Eddie began his career working in television, first as a Food Editor on Martha Stewart Living and later as Associate Design Director for all in-house production at Food Network. After a two-year stint running his own catering company, where he continued to refine his skills in decorating and entertaining, Eddie made the move to publishing. Ross writes a daily blog (eddieross.com) that provides information on how to cook, craft, decorate and entertain affordably and beautifully. A luncheon will follow the presentation. Individual tickets are $60 and for Fine Arts Club members and $75 for non-members. The deadline for reservations is October 20. For reservations and additional information, call 501-396-0322. I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
