Recently appointed Executive Director,Dr. Todd Herman comes to Arkansas from the Columbia Museum of Art in South Carolina where he served as chief curator.Having a "history in drawing," Herman says that he is excited about the Arts Center's extensive collection in that area. He plans to exhibit more of the Center's permanent collection to expose more Arkansans to the works owned by the Center. He also hopes to bring popular traveling exhibitions to the state "that would draw thousands of visitors to the facility."The Arkansas Arts Center is an art museum with a children's theatre and a studio school. Founded in 1961, its' mission is to ensure that learning, inspiration, and creative expression in the arts flourish throughout Arkansas, for people of all ages and backgrounds.Located at 501 East 9th Street, Little Rock, AR.  The Arts Center hours are Tuesday through -Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from  11a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information, visit AAC
