PIGShibition200Calling all artists… you are invited to submit your design for the PIGShibition Community Art project.  This event is designed to support the Ozark Literacy Council and you, our vast and talented local artist community.  Over the next 3 seasons this campaign will bring awareness to the literacy issues present in Northwest Arkansas and showcase a variety of prized artists.  This is your opportunity to become one of the 25 selected PIG artists for the 2012 PIGShibitioncampaign.  Hurry and enter your design now –the deadline for submissions is March 15th.PIGShibition will soon occupy the city of Fayetteville!  The locally created, fiberglass PIG sculptures will make their entrance during the PIGmalion Preview party in Fayetteville this May.  Throughout the Spring and Summer, these giant PIGS will be sponsored by community members and corporations, then artfully decorated by you, our local artists, and finally displayed throughout our beautiful city during the Summer and Fall.  The PIGS will then auctioned off for charity on October 11, 2012 at the Piggies go to Market finale event.  This inaugural community art project is sure to be a success and we hope that you will want to be involved.  For more info click on the pig.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
