IMG_3064"Tales From the South" is a radio show created and produced by Temenos Publishing Company and The Midnight Muse Writers' Community, taped live at Starving Artist Cafe' in the Argenta Arts District of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and aired on KUAR Public Radio in Arkansas on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7pm.

Tales From the South is now looking for submissions for their March taping. Now in its fifth year, "Tales from the South" features true stories told by the Southern writers who lived them.  Contributors are from all walks of life and include professional writers as well as those who have never been published. "Tales from the South" is uniquely Southern, in that while we don't require that stories are set in the South (though a majority are), writers must be either originally from the South or live here currently, and the distinct Southern art of storytelling rich in language, detail, and voice is alive in all of them.

They are currently accepting submissions from these Southern states: Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.  Submission requirements may be found here and  submission should be sent to Paula at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
