The jury selection panel will meet weekly beginning June 1st to select new, first-time participants in the 2009 festival.
The jurying will follow a blind jury process, reviewing projected digital images. The identities of artists are not disclosed to jurors. The Pinnacle Hills Arts Festival asks the jury to select a well-balanced show across the festival's twelve different artistic disciplines.
In addition to new first-time participants to the show, previous artist exhibitors will be given priority review based on prior participation in the festival. Previous exhibitors will notified by letter before June 1st of their eligibility to participate in the 2009 Pinnacle Hills Arts Festival, thereby waiving the normal jury process.
Accepted artists will receive written notification of the Jury Selection Panel's decision, and as applicable, a formal Invitation to exhibit at the festival, approximately ten days after their application has been reviewed. |

The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is considering a new project to promote Arkansas products and/or services such as artwork, crafts, food items or mixes and candles. The Arkansas Alley will be open on Farmer’s Market days of Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.–noon in the Count Pulaski Plaza outside the Arkansas Studies Institute at 401 President Clinton Avenue, on the Main Library campus.
Vendors and their items or exhibits must be pre-approved and scheduled for participation in Arkansas Alley. Participation is by invitation only and requires check in and check out on the day of the exhibit. CALS will provide each vendor with a shaded space, one 6 ft. table and two chairs free of charge. Vendors are wholly responsible for setting up their booths, including retrieving equipment supplied by CALS and their own supplies, returning and properly storing the CALS equipment at the end of the session and any licenses or taxes required for sale of products.
The program seeks to feature products and services from vendors across the state. For more information or to request approval for participation, contact Susan Hill Gelé at

The Arkansas Community Arts Cooperative (ACAC) is having a 2-day Summer Art Show and Sale.
The show will open on Saturday, June 27 and remain open the following day, June 28. We are doing a recession-style art show with all pieces under $200.
There is a 5-piece maximum allowed for each artist. All 2-D and 3-D work is welcome--only submit work that has never been shown at an ACAC show and sale.
The commission split is 70/30—70% goes to the artist. There is an artist entry fee of $10, if you are already an ACAC member. It’s $20, if you’re not a member—this fee can be applied to membership renewal or becoming a new member. The 30% commission and entry fees go straight to the organization to help pay bills and keep the space open.
Space is limited, so contact us immediately if you want to participate. Due to the quick nature of this show, the deadline is Wednesday, June 17. Drop-off dates are Saturday, June 20, from 12-4 pm and Monday, June 22, from 5-8pm. We have changed the process of receiving work—we will be emailing all paperwork to the artist ahead of time. All work must be labeled on the back with the artists’ name and the name of the piece or it will not be shown. The ACAC space is located at 900 S. Rodney Parham Rd. (the old Gallery B), a little east of Kanis Park. To be in the show, email Sharea Wheeler at
