Art Amiss 10 will be held on Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Art Amiss presents an environment in which emerging and unrepresented Arkansas artists may exhibit and sell their work. Art Amiss encourages large scale media and installation submissions, as well as submissions in two- and three-dimensional visual art, film, fashion, literature, and music.

Art Amiss does not discriminate based on race, class, gender, age, education, or medium. All works submitted within the guidelines will be considered solely on the basis of their merit within the context of the Art Amiss event.

Artists are responsible for delivering art to the event and removing their art following the event. Art Amiss will not be liable for any damages, loss or theft of the work resulting from these circumstances.

Artists must be originally from or current residents of Arkansas.

Artists may not have current gallery representation, or show currently touring work.

Artists may not show in more than two (2) consecutive Art Amiss events.

The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to have a presence at FAMILY FUN FEST by becoming a vendor and/or sponsor. You can reserve your craft booth for only $100 or your vendor booth in a covered area for as little as $225 before June 1st. (Non-chamber members add $50). Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels from $1,000 to $15,000
What is FAMILY FUN FEST? Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, FAMILY FUN FEST will include entertainment and music, a Kid Zone and more than 100 vendors ranging from arts and crafts to retail businesses. This event will bring more customers to vendors rather than a business to business event. Similar events around the state attract 25,000 to 30,000 people so they expect at least 20,000 to attend this one day event.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
