Attention artists needed for three great nonprofit fundraisers. The following notices came to my attention and I would like to give our members and readers the information and an opportunity to help in one or more of these worthy events.
Literacy Action of Arkansas
a Nonprofit based in Little Rock that teaches illiterate adults to read as well as non-native English speakers to read and speak English, is having a first time fundraiser Feb. 19.
Shine a Light on Literacy, to be held at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion with first lady Ginger Beebe as Honorary Chairman. They need the talent of Arkansas artists to transform basic, unadorned lamps into works of art. For Information: http://www.arsculptorsguild.com

The Arkansas Foodbank Network
is seeking donations of original art for the 7th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser on March 19, 2009. For Information:

Eggshibition, Youth Home
is requesting for your participation in Eggshibition 2009. Your willingness to share your imaginative talents has been essential in raising over $1.7 million in support of Youth Home, Inc.'s goal of helping Arkansas's emotionally troubled adolescents find a better way to deal with life's challenges.
As we’re sure you already know, Youth Home’s Board of Directors, staff and the many Eggshibition committee members all agree on one important point: it's the artists and their "eggsceptional" creations that have made this annual, one-of-a-kind fundraiser a national success story, and one we can all be so proud of helping to accomplish.
