eagleWATERCOLOR COMES TO CLAY TIME STUDIO…..…January 16, during the Argenta ArtWalk, Clay Time Studio & Gallery (417 Main, NLR) will introduce the vibrant and expressive watercolors of ROBIN YOUNG.  The artist will be in the studio from 5-8pm to talk with visitors about her paintings and about the classes she will teach at ClayTime beginning February 9.  Classes are for adults who want to explore watercolor, explore and expand their creativity, and have a lot of fun! A professional artist for 20 years, Robin has a been a teacher and trainer for 16, teaching watercolor workshops throughout the country, and developing creativity seminars for government and corporate clients.  Her paintings have been sold by numerous galleries, including her own Robin Young Studio Gallery in Shepherdstown WV and each summer at her studio gallery on Monhegan Island, Maine.  By invitation, she has exhibited at art festivals throughout the East Coast and served as Artist in Residence in Grand Teton National Park and Hot Springs National Park. In 2006 Robin moved her studio to Malvern, Arkansas, spending two years renovating her grandparent’s farm where she now lives, works, teaches and cares for her three horses, seven dogs and five cats.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
