Every other Thursday 900 S Rodney Parham Rd., Little Rock, AR 72204 Cost $5 For more info: see acacarkansas.org
Every other Thursday night in Little Rock beginning Thursday April 9th the Urban Hang Suite 88.3 KABF and a neo-poetry movement called Inverse will take back poetry at 900 S. Rodney Parham (across from McDonald’s at the old “”B” Gallery) . The poets are reclaiming the Mic! In every other city around the country there exists a poet’s house. A place where poetry lives, not just a mere visitor to some other venue but a place where your art can be presented to the public at large (well, granted, the audience is usually other poets waiting their turn to get at the mic and you can lay in wait for the moment when your name is called.) Poetry has evolved into the Open Mic where the welcome mat is laid across the doorway for artist and musicians alike—at Inverse you’ll hear every kind of poet, every genre of poetry and musical accompaniments.
You are coming to Inverse because you love poetry, neo-soul music and the ambience of grown folks doing grown up things. Maybe you like to network and well, Thursday’s in Little Rock are usually void of any type of entertainment. Whatever the reason- You just know that Little Rock needs something new and exciting- something real and authentically ours. Inverse is an atmosphere and to experience what it’s like to be In-gulfed, In- tranced, In-Verse it’ll cost you a mere $5 at the door but expensive taste for fine art and quality entertainment.
So bring a friend, a date, your notebook, whichever one is nearest and dearest to your heart. Oh- and bring $5! Remember listen to the Urban Hang Suite every Saturday from 8pm to 10pm on KABF 88.3 in the Little Rock, Arkansas area or listen to us via the web http://www.kabf.org Saturdays 8pm to 10pm
