George-MarksFour-Women-Drinking-Wine-Talking-in-Living-Room Gallery 26 will be staying open late along with many other local merchants until 8:30. We won't chase anyone out if they linger pass the appointed hour but they will be forced to dance for our amusement. Treats and drinks can be had, as well as music throughout the neighborhood.

Originally, only Little Rock was on the advocacy group's Arkansas itinerary. A successful, eleventh-hour e-mail campaign by the town's residents convinced the HRC to add Eureka Springs to the tour schedule. "We all agreed that a stop in Eureka Springs made sense," said an HRC official in Washington, DC.

Sunday, September 18th, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in The Space,Eureka Springs.Eureka Springs has been added to the list of cities to be visited by the Human Rights Campaign's "equality bus" which over the course of 12 weeks will stop in 17 cities in 11 states and the District of Columbia.

The Equality Art Show on Sunday evening caps off a week end of events welcoming the Human Rights Campaign "Equality Bus" to Eureka Springs and features a broad spectrum of Eureka Springs favorite artists, designers, potters, and sculptors. Join John Rankine, Robert Norman, Jeremy Jason McGraw, John Rinehart, Don E. Allen, Patrick Lujan, Lee Krull, Julie Kahn Valentiine, Carol Dickie, Barbara Kennedy, Mark Hughes, Sherry Young, Zeek Taylor, Shuggie Tucker, and many more of your friends and neighbors for this community event and celebration of the Arts.

276485_107065929399514_7299198_nThe North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Family Fun Fest will be held on Saturday, October 1st from 9:00am-4:00pm at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock.

Visit with over 100 vendor booths ranging from arts and crafts to jewelry, clothing and business services. The event will include a Kids & Teen Zone area with inflatables, hands-on activities, exciting games, rock climbing wall, video gaming stations, creative crafts and more. Enjoy live music and entertainment including musical duo Trout Fishing in America among other special performers. Craig O’Neall & Alyse Eady from Today’s THV will emcee the event.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults, 12 and under will be admitted at the gate for free. A limited quantity of free tickets will also be available at the Chamber starting in mid September, while supplies last.

Proceeds from Family Fun Fest will benefit Chamber programs such as Arkansas Scholars, Vital Link, Leadership Renaissance and also help fund higher education scholarships for local area students.

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
