One of the best things about living in Arkansas is the beautiful scenery we have all around us.  Paul Caldwell of Little Rock captures that amazing beauty through his photography.  We would love for you to join us at the Opening Night Reception for “Arkansas and the Range of Light” a photographic study by Paul Caldwell this Friday, July 22, 6:00 – 8:00.  Come enjoy refreshments while you listen to live music by Diane and Barry McVinney.  This will be an excellent opportunity to meet the artist and view a collection of incredible Arkansas scenes.

When referring to this exhibit of work, “Arkansas and the Range of Light”, Paul states: “Throughout my photographic career, I have been attuned to the scenic beauty within the State of Arkansas.  With this show I am hoping to draw attention to the wondrous range of light that can be captured through a lens.  The images that are featured range from sunrise to sunset with a special focus on nighttime.”

Most remarkable about Paul's work is that each individual shot has a unique story, in a short narrative, which reflects Paul's dedication to sharing his craft.

Paul Caldwell has been a photographer for over 30 years. His intensity for his craft is evident in his finely created images. Paul has continued to evolve and learn the latest photographic techniques to improve his images. From beginnings with film and Nikon gear, Paul has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of photography devoting much of his current energy toward digital work.  Paul's subject matter reflects his love of the outdoors and seasonal changes in his home state of Arkansas, and stunning abstract compositions of natural subjects.

If you can’t make it to the Opening Night of “Arkansas and the Range of Light” this Friday, plan on coming by to see the show during regular business hours, Monday – Saturday, 10:00 – 5:00 before the show ends on September 3.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
