Cabot
AR
I currently live and work in Cabot, Arkansas. Professionally I am a graphic designer and web designer. In 2005 I received my Bachelor's in both Graphic Design and Painting with a minor in Digital Graphics. This road into computer art was difficult at first but after much practice I caught on. Since graduation I have worked at a stationary business doing web design for four websites, a Bridal magazine doing layout and ad design, a Jacksonville newspaper for two years doing page layout, web design, and ad design and most recently at a Leisure Arts in West Little Rock doing graphic design for the marketing department.

My work is exhibited nationally and locally. It is currently displayed at Stomping Grounds Coffee in Cabot, Denali Coffee Co. in Cabot, and Starving Artist Cafe, Little Rock and also in many private collections.

Awards include the Award of Merit at the 3rd Annual Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibition at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Morrilton, AR (atop Petit Jean Mountain), First place at the Sherwood Fest Art Competition, Honorable Mention in the 2008 Spring Invitational Show in Harrison, AR and best design for the WWII Arkansas Ordnance Plant Contest at The Jacksonville Museum of Military History in Jacksonville, AR. The winning design will be part of an interpretive panel on permanent display on museum grounds.

Your Canvas Junkie Host

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
