(July 2, 2010 – North Little Rock, AR) KETZ Gallery will present the latest works by local artist Tim Jacob at an opening reception held on Tuesday, July 13 and during Third Friday Art Walk on Friday, July 16, 5-pm-8pm. Guests will have a chance to meet the artist and view a collection of paintings, View From the Road.
During Art Walk, Jacob will demonstrate his unique technique of watery overlays to convey color in his unusual paintings. A long time Little Rock resident, his subjects include both rural and urban Arkansas focusing on scenes viewed from the highways. He cites his children as an inspiration and includes their initials in all his paintings in lieu of signature.
Located at 705 Main Street in the historic Argenta area of North Little Rock, the KETZ Gallery features more than 30 local artists including Robin Hazard-Bishop, John Kushmaul, Marty Smith, Matthew Gore, Michael Lindas, Lois Davis and Rene' Hein. The Gallery is regularly open Tuesday through Friday, 11am – 5pm, 11am – 3pm Saturdays. For more information, visit www.ketzgallery.com or call Michelle Ketzscher, at 501-529-6330. |
