Producing art in various mediums

I have decided I have "Artistic Attention Deficit Disorder"... I've never met a medium I don't like! I loved art in high school, but was coerced into pursuing other interests in college since "you can't make money in art."

Having been awarded a BA in Sociology (and wasted many years outside of the creative community), I am back in the fold. I have dabbled in digital art, photography, stained glass, polymer clay, jewelry, painting, and printmaking... probably more that I can't immediately recall....

Not able to narrow down my artistic interests, I'm currently concentrating on the basic building block of art and wish to pursue an MFA in drawing.

At the moment, I am refreshing my rusty skills and building a portfolio by attending classes at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (and trying to make as many creative friends as possible in the process!).

If you view my gallery, bear in mind that I said I'm rusty! I did want to share something, though, in case somebody had helpful pointers....

I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.

As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".

Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
