South Arkansas Fights AIDS (SAFA) is having a fundraiser Jan. 17th and 18th

The 17th is a Cuttin - Up Party at the El Dorado Country Club which will include a Dancing with the Stars competition and auction of items donated by local businesses, and Mardi Gras masks made by local artists. These masks can be whatever the artists can "dream up" including a framed painting of a mask, a ceramic mask, paper mache, sculpture, feathered wall hanging mask similar to those worn at Mardi Gras.

There are no color or size restrictions.  We just want an item that the artist is willing to donate that would sell so we can raise money to continue our work with HIV/AIDS.  Tickets will sell for $30 single or $50 a couple.

 We are a nonprofit that does free HIV testing, education programs for adults and children, and direct services to those living with the disease.

This is a call to all!  1.   Go out into your neighborhood and find the ugliest, most lame or otherwise tasteless Christmas extravaganza that Rudolph may have regurgitated upon someone's lawn.  2.  Snap a couple or so pictures capturing the display.  3.  Email me the pictures, and if you'd like comments.    4.   I'll post the pictures.   5.  You won't win anything except maybe a good butt kicking from your peaved neighbor.  Happy Holidays!

Ok......so I guess your're wondering what this is about?? Well, I'm not too sure, except Brian said this morning "Are you going to write an article today?"  I said , yes...........and then Brian said not "My friend has a show here............... an article??"  So as Brian (who may be referred to as the big giant talking brain or BGTB........no just B for short) has explained on several occasions that I should just write like I'm having a conversation with someone, this is my attempt.  Warning young Will Robinson............. most of the time the other half of the conversation is ........"I have no idea what you're talking about".

So everything is talking in my head at once.....I have been thinking about the lousy economy and my artist friends, well everyone for that matter who is feeling the pinch.  The good news is that art sales seem to be getting better.........just like everything else a good discount really helps!
