| I have made things most of my life and tried my hand at every art and craft I could find. And I’m intrigued by folklore, fairytales and mythology. It seems natural to come to place in my life and my artwork that combines all the knowledge I’ve gained into one art form. The Doll. I prefer cloth; natural fabrics and fibers to create my pieces because of the textures and warmth and feelings that the fabric lends to a piece. And, I'm still learning...
I'm a full time seamstress and 3D mixed media textile artist. I own a shop which houses my studio, and I am open to the public. Art Doll maker. Designer. Costumer (includung masks). Clothing Alterations. I create Original One Of A Kind Fanciful Figures from cloth, soft sculpture and or clay. |
I am your host at Canvas Junkie and work in several media. I design and make one of a kind sculpture you can wear or jewelry.
As well as paint, make found object sculpture and generally will chase after anything sparkly. When I was a teen my dad would introduce me as his daughter with the disclaimer of "You know artists are weird".
Now that I have seen many years of life pass by (I'm in denial about exactly how many)............. I'm happy to be known as an artist because....... life is just weird.
